We're continually working hard to improve communities throughout the state. If you're interested to see what we've been doing recently (especially if you want to help), check out our project list.
If you have but one hour per week, we have opportunities. Our troop committee consists of volunteers who help with planning, finances, fundraising, camping, public relations, communications, merit badges, and a host of other activities.
We have a simple, but robust vision: to help our members become the best possible citizens and role models that they can be. We strive and assist to the fullest extent possible, each Scout's journey to Eagle.
Troop 28 has an adult leadership committee that is responsible for the administrative oversight of our unit. Our unit is boy-led, meaning that all decisions on meetings and activities are planned by the Scouts, via their Senior Patrol and Patrol Leadership. The Unit Committee is in place to make sure that the resources are in place so that the activities can occur. The Unit Committee is also responsible for setting the year's goals, with an eye focused upon advancement and expanding the opportunities for our Scouts to learn and explore in a fun, friendly, and safe environment.
